Clips analysed: 21 Jump Street and Se7en
21 Jump Street:
The title sequence of '21 Jump Street' opens with the credits of who played or contributed to the movie, firstly off with the name of the directors appear followed by the names of the writers and producers with the cast appearing just before the title screen with the most notable actors first. The typography of the title '21 Jump Street' is portrayed in a bold caps lock font and has the colours of red and blue to signify the colours of police sirens due to that being the lead of the film, as well as being placed in the middle of the screen, the typography is placed on a pitch black background to make the typography stand-out and catch the attention of the audience.
Se7en:
The title sequence of 'Se7en' begins with the credits of the producers of the movie and then reveals the two main cast members first before revealing the movie title which has a typography of a handwritten font which is in a unstable manner with the font moving constantly to signify that maybe one of the protagonist has a unstable character or personality, by doing this it helps the audience to gain a visual of the character that might be portrayed on the scene of the film.
I chose both of these title sequences as they were very contrasting to each other and consist of two different genres and with one being simply title sequence with several camera shots but put in a very effective manner and giving its own storyline from the opening keeping the audience on the edge of the seats and the other being made by computer graphics.
