Analyse Two Title sequences from Art of the title

Two Title Sequences

Se7en

Visual: This title sequence begins with the production and then the protagonist who is famous to the audience. There  are flashing images which are very ambiguous with only hands showing, inbetween these flashes are the names of the crew. The credits are animated with a slight shaky movement which reinforce the horror of the movie. The font is white against a dark and gloomy background which makes it stand out. It shakes and fades away almost personifying it as a mysterious person who hides away. Sounds: The distorted sounds also add the touch of ambiguity as nothing is heard clearly - it all fades away or the sounds change continuously

21 jump street

Visual: This opening title sequence starts off with the credits of the directors, producers and writers followed by the cast and costume credits. The credits were animated with an impression of typing. I chose this sequence because it is funny and it is clearly represented that way in the opening sequence with sounds of laughter.

Sounds: The music is very upbeat and fast which adds atmospheric humor to it and grips the audiences attention.
