Congratulations, guys you have an excellent blog. Well done (even my girlfriend looked at it, and commented it was "very professional"). I particularly liked the way that you blogged my last bit of feedback - you wrote about what I said and found a solution. Keep up this current level of focus. It's really good work.
Don't forget to keep including the productions diaries. Do a write up after every filming session and always reflect on what you might want to do going forwards, how the footage you've shot has changed plans. You can add comments about your individual contributions. Be specific and detailed. You can also blog about what skills you think you have developed.
I would say with your filming currently, don't be shy of experimenting. I remember talking to you about Jump Cutting on Friday - I found a couple of Youtube videos which show some interesting examples. It might be something to experiment with for your opening scene:
